The Correspondent shall forward to the Director the course of study for the coming school year not later than the 1st of July each year; the Director may withhold his approval of the whole course or any portion thereof, and the Correspondent shall thereupon be required to modify it
accordingly.
The courses of study in English schools shall lead up to the Hong Kong School Certificate Examination in Class 2 and all pupils in Class 2 shall
be presented for this examination.
In Class 1 there shall be a course approved by the Director preparatory to entrance to the University of Hong Kong, or to a British or Chinese
University.
Two or more courses may be taken by one school, provided that it is shown to the satisfaction of the Director that there is sufficient staff and equipment to provide adequately for such a differentiation of studies.
No language other than English, Chinese, Kwok Yu, Cantonese or Portuguese shall be taught to any class without the previous approval of the
